Health care company Apollo Terapiapalvelut Ky (Apollo Therapy Services) was established in 1999 as the Apollo musiikkiterapiapalvelut (Apollo Music Therapy Services). In 2007, it continued with a new name Apollo Terapiapalvelut and widened services to psychotherapy. The company is specialized in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, music therapy and music psychotherapy. It provides individual and group therapy as well as supervision, training and consultation.
In the field of music psychotherapy, the company has been a forerunner and has participated and supported its development, research, education and practice internationally. During the years it has collaborated with many universities, institutes and professional education programs. It has taken a part in education of social and health care professionals` basic, advanced and continuing studies. Apollo Terapiapalvelut produce rehabilitation psychotherapy and advanced medical rehabilitation for Kela (Social Insurance Institute of Finland). Our clients are children, adolescents, adults and their families. The founder of Apollo Terapiapalvelut Adjunct Professor, Dr Sami Alanne, DMus, MPhil is a psychoanalyst, psychoanalytic psychotherapist, music therapist, music psychotherapist, and a training psychotherapist in music psychotherapy and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. He has a long clinical experience of over 20 years in music therapy, music psychotherapy, psychotherapy and psychiatric rehabilitation. He is the author of the topical groundbreaking books Music Psychotherapy with Refugee Survivors of Torture and Musiikkipsykoterapia published in Finland. Dr Alanne was establishing and completing the first official health care music psychotherapy training in Finland. Dr Alanne has been awarded a Tittle of Docent in music therapy at the University of the Arts Helsinki. |
